The Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award-- given to "a creative producer who has been responsible for a consistently high quality of motion picture production." (It is considered the highest accolade a producer can receive.)
NOTE: Technically, Oscars for documentaries are given to the film itself, not any individual producer, director or production company. However, the Academy does usually name an individual or company/organization to accept the Academy Award nomination and/or Oscar on behalf of the film. Thus, when THE FIGHTING LADY (1944) won the Best Documentary Feature Oscar, the award itself was presented to the United States Navy, not Wyler who had directed it. Because this Oscar was not awarded to Wyler as an individual, it does not count towards his personal tally of Academy Award nominations or Oscars.
