Trivia Contest #34

February 22, 2004:

The results of Reel Classics' thirty-fourth Trivia Contest are now official.  The winners were chosen randomly from over 550 correct entries and will be receiving their prize in the mail shortly.  Congratulations to the following Reel Classics patrons (and if you didn't win this time, keep visiting Reel Classics so you don't miss the next giveaway):

Trivia Question:

What classic movie star was the first performer to win all four of the major performing arts awards: Oscar, Tony, Emmy and Grammy?

Feb. 4, 2004 - NOTE: Because this question was ambiguously worded, there is more than one correct answer.  Both musical and non-musical Grammys count.  However honorary awards do not -- only those won competitively.

Answer:

Helen Hayes or Rita Moreno.

Singin' in the RainAnswer location:

The answer to this question could be found on page 1 of the Helen Hayes section or on page 1 of the WEST SIDE STORY section at Reel Classics.

Dominic Laituri
    Isla Vista, California

Prize:

A Special Edition 2-disc DVD of SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (1952) courtesy Warner Bros. Home Video.
