In 2002 and 2003, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences celebrated its 75th anniversary by holding special screenings of all the Oscar-winning Best Pictures, including MARTY (1955) in 2002.

Ernest Borgnine, who played the title character, and the film's director, Delbert Mann.
